The kernel panics may be related to encrypting the drive- that’s about when I experienced it as well.
#OWC AURA PRO ISSUES MAC PRO 2013 UPGRADE#
No 3rd party extensions loaded, last loaded/unloaded kexts differ from one occurence to another.Īny ideas if the SSD Upgrade is likely to be the root cause or if it's something unrelated that rather stems form the OS reinstall and/or migration of settings? System on the original SSD was installed as Mountain Lion (I think) and continuously updated all the way to 10.13.2 over the years. Thunderbolt Bus: MacBook Pro, Apple Inc., 17.1

Since the reinstall of macOS the mouse sometimes gets very laggy and keyboard input only arrives with some delay, just like a system running at 100% CPU with higher priority than the user input threads. It's just another thing to think about since S1 gives you the option to do things like this.On my Late 2013 Macbook Pro Retina, I've recently upgraded the SSD to an OWC Aura Pro X, reinstalled macOS 10.13.2 and migrated all settings and data from the previous SSD with Migration Assistant. I have to be mindful that I don't accidentally activate a trim tool on the underlying audio, or it will trim that region, when all I wanted to do was grab and move. hahaĪnother thing I noticed too is that say I want to grab a clip I just moved again. The only time it's relevant is when I'm moving the audio that is on top, thus revealing what's underneath the audio I'm moving. For example when drum editing, I can't think of a time where I would actually want or need to see how much of an overlap I have with audio underneath because the audio underneath is irrelevant.

I feel like I'm still missing something with this. If I wanted them to play at the same time, then I could just put them on separate tracks (also giving better control over each file). Can you give an example? If I ever wanted to do this in pro tools, I would just put a crossfade over both where they meet, and then adjust the envelope appropriately. I suppose I can't figure out an instance where I would want to have clips overlap each other and play on the same track. Thanks for all of the info! I was thinking about it more.
